DEP Ltd has worked with Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Alliance (PAPAA) over a five-year period, developing an e-learning course on psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. In 2013, edition one was launched for nurses; edition two in 2015, to embrace all health care professionals; and an exciting third edition will be launched in 2018 with three versions: nurses, pharmacists and an international version.
PiP is a fully interactive e-learning module on all aspects of managing psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis with evidence-based guidelines. PiP is centred around patient need and features films on the patient perspective and their journey’s. DEP Ltd working with PAPAA in achieving Royal College of Nursing (RCN) accreditation. One student’s view is:
‘This course has helped to enhance my knowledge of psoriasis and given me a greater understanding of patient experience and where I could offer more support. The knowledge gained on psoriatic arthritis has been invaluable and from this I will include a joint assessment into our nursing practice with onward referral where necessary.’
PiP is an educational resource for HCPs fully funded by PAPAA. DEP Ltd continue to work with PAPAA in 2018 to develop PiP and provide a practical patient-focused e-learning resource for UK and international health care professionals to better understand and provide high standards of care for all patients with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
